How To Start A Perfect Selling With Us

How to Sell on Kobikoba

kobikoba.com | Turn your products into a business — set up your own store in minutes.

1. Why Sell on Kobikoba?

Kobikoba is a multi-vendor marketplace: we provide the platform, the storefront tools, and the audience — you run your own shop. You list your products, set your prices, manage your orders, and keep control of your business.

What you get:

  • Your own online storefront — a customizable shop page with your brand name, logo, and banner
  • Easy product management — list unlimited products with photos, descriptions, pricing, and inventory tracking
  • Direct relationship with your customers — you handle sales, payments, and fulfillment your way
  • Order and customer management tools — track orders, update statuses, and communicate with buyers
  • Sales analytics — reports on sales, earnings, and best-performing products
  • You set your own policies — your prices, your shipping rules, your return and warranty terms
  • Low barrier to entry — no need to build your own website or hire developers

How Kobikoba works:

Kobikoba is a medium, not the merchant. Buyers discover products on Kobikoba, but the sale happens directly between you and the buyer. You collect payment directly, you ship the product, and you handle returns and warranties. Kobikoba does not process payments or handle fulfillment.

2. Getting Started in 5 Steps

Step 1 — Create Your Seller Account

  1. Go to kobikoba.com/register and choose “Register as a Seller”;
  2. Fill in your details: name, email, shop name, and password;
  3. Verify your email address;
  4. Complete your profile with your shop details and contact information.

Step 2 — Set Up Your Store

Once registered, the Store Setup Wizard guides you through:
  • Store name — choose a unique name for your shop (this becomes your store URL, e.g., kobikoba.com/store/your-shop);
  • Store description — tell customers what you sell and what makes your shop special;
  • Logo and banner — upload your brand logo and a cover image;
  • Contact details — email, phone, and physical/store address (shown to customers as you choose);
  • Location and shipping zones — define where you ship and estimated delivery areas.

Step 3 — Add Your Products

From your Vendor Dashboard, go to Products → Add New:
  1. Product title — a clear, searchable name;
  2. Description — detailed product information, specs, materials, sizes, etc.;
  3. Product images — upload high-quality photos (add multiple angles; first image is your main thumbnail);
  4. Price — your selling price, and optionally a discounted/sale price;
  5. Inventory — stock quantity and low-stock alerts;
  6. Categories & tags — place your product in the right categories so buyers can find it;
  7. Product options — variants like size, color, or material (each variant can have its own price and stock);
  8. Shipping details — weight and dimensions for accurate shipping calculations;
  9. Policies — attach your return, refund, and warranty terms to the listing;
  10. Publish — your product goes live in the marketplace instantly.
Tip: accurate descriptions and good photos lead to more sales and fewer disputes.

Step 4 — Configure Your Selling Settings

Before your first sale, set up:
  • Payment details — how customers pay you directly (bank transfer, mobile money, cash on delivery, or your own payment links). Kobikoba does not process payments — payments go straight from the buyer to you, via whatever method you offer;
  • Shipping methods & rates — flat rate, per-zone pricing, free shipping thresholds, or pickup options;
  • Store policies — your return window, refund terms, warranty terms, and order processing times;
  • Vacation mode — pause your store temporarily when you’re unavailable (products stay hidden until you return).

Step 5 — Start Selling

Your store is live! Buyers can now:
  • Find your products through search, categories, and your store page;
  • Contact you with questions before buying;
  • Place orders directly with you.
You’ll be notified of every new order via email and your dashboard.

3. Managing Your Store Day-to-Day

Handling Orders

When an order comes in:
  1. New/Processing — review the order and confirm availability;
  2. Contact the buyer — arrange payment directly (since Kobikoba doesn’t process payments) and confirm delivery details;
  3. Prepare & ship — pack and dispatch the order, or arrange pickup/delivery;
  4. Mark as completed — update the order status so the buyer is notified;
  5. Follow up — after delivery, politely encourage the buyer to leave a review.
Important: Because Kobikoba does not hold payments, always confirm you’ve received payment before shipping.

Running Promotions

  • Coupons — create percentage or fixed-amount discount codes, with expiry dates and usage limits;
  • Sale pricing — set a discounted price on any product and show the original price struck through;
  • Featured products — highlight your best items on your store page.

4. Getting Paid

Kobikoba never touches your money. Payments flow directly from the buyer to you, using the payment methods you offer (bank transfer, mobile money, payment links, cash on delivery, etc.).
This means:
  • No payment processing fees from us — whatever your payment provider charges is between you and them;
  • Instant access to your funds — no waiting for payout cycles;
  • Full control — you choose which payment methods to accept.
Your chosen payment instructions are displayed to buyers at checkout and on your store page. Make sure your payment details are always accurate and up to date.

5. Seller Policies & Requirements

By selling on Kobikoba, you agree to:
  • Accuracy — list only products you actually have, with truthful descriptions and real photos;
  • Lawful products — never list illegal, counterfeit, stolen, dangerous, or prohibited items;
  • Honoring your policies — follow the return, refund, and warranty terms you publish;
  • Responsiveness — reply to buyer inquiries and orders in a timely manner;
  • Respect — treat all buyers fairly and professionally; no harassment, scams, or manipulation;
  • Compliance — follow all applicable business, tax, consumer protection, and product safety laws in your jurisdiction.
Violations may result in warnings, listing removal, suspension, or permanent removal from Kobikoba. See our [Terms of Service] and [Seller Guidelines].

6. Reviews & Reputation

Customer reviews appear publicly on your store and products. Great service = great reviews = more sales.
  • Respond to reviews professionally — including negative ones;
  • Resolve issues quickly and fairly before they escalate;
  • If a buyer reports a problem to Kobikoba, we may review your store history — repeated complaints can affect your standing on the platform.

7. Seller Fees

[Select the applicable option:]
Option A: Opening a store and listing products on Kobikoba is currently free. We reserve the right to introduce subscription or commission fees in the future with at least 30 days’ notice.
Option B: Kobikoba charges [subscription fee / commission] as described on our [Pricing Page]. Payments between you and your buyers are still made directly — we never process or hold transaction funds.
